Many employers prefer candidates who can speak multiple languages, and it can lead to better job prospects and higher salaries.

Dr. Maria Sanchez
Dr. Lisa Newton, as a Data Scientist by profession, loves using group conversations and artistic productions to harvest information regarding social determinants of health. Since 2008, she has been the CEO of Promised to Bless Promotions, a consulting company that promotes the business success of local organizations and facilitates professional workshops. The two most popular workshops: “Healthy Leadership Tidbits for Entrepreneurs” and “Creative Leadership in The Workplace”. Dr. Newton is often regarded as a Teacher of Leaders and self-proclaimed as a Social Butterfly improving the lives of others using awareness of historical facts and social cultural behaviors. She encourages self-awareness, mental and physical healing, and resiliency, as opportunities to improve individual and community economic health. Dr. Newton is the author and producer of the theatrical “Butterflies Don’t Just Fly, They Soar!”, a collection of poems titled “Before the Butterflies” and she is currently finalizing her self-help book “Pieces of Me”. In addition, she is the founder of the Queen’s Brunch, an annual venue for sister circle conversations with African American women seeking self-renewal, healing and economic growth. Dr. Newton is also a freelance writer regarding black women’s health and infant mortality used to enlighten communities with information that has both political and social perspectives.
